Being the leader in Safety and Survival Training in Sri Lanka, the centre is well equipped to offer the mariner a wide range of STCW courses approved by the Director of Merchant Shipping. Courses can also be customized to suit individual clients in the maritime, aviation and shore based industrial sectors.

The Safety and Survival Training Department conducts medical training, sea survival and fire emergency procedures for airline cabin crews. All safety and survival courses are conducted by a dedicated team of professional mariners, medical staff and fire fighters. The course director and senior lecturers are Master Mariners. CINEC is a member of the International Association for Safety and Survival Training (IASST) and is also a member of the management committee of the IASST.
