INTRODUCTION

Electronics is applicable in all areas in engineering technologies. It is essential that Engineers and Technicians manning and operating a wide range of engineering systems are thoroughly geared to cope up with the ever changing technology in electronics systems including microprocessors, micro controllers and programmable logic controllers. This course with high practical content, is primarily aimed at Marine Engineer Officers and Navigation Officers. Nevertheless it is applicable to all Engineers, Technologists and Technicians engaged in manufacturing, power, automation, defense, services and vendor organizations

Electronics I
Course Outline

Diodes, Transistors, Feedback Oscillators and Waveform Generators, SCR, TRIAC,DIAC, & IGBT Operation, Zener Diode, LED and Thermistor, Elements of Digital Logic, Sequential Logic, Logic Circuit Applications.

Duration
5 Days (30 hours at CINEC )

Admission Requirements
Completion of a Diploma level Engineering Course or experience in the respective field as a Technician.

Electronics II
Course Outline

Principles of Pulse Circuits, 555 Timer Application, Alarm Circuits, Operational Amplifiers, Differentiators and Integrators, Digital to Analogue and Analogue to Digital Converters, Frequency and Amplitude Modulation, Frequency Mixers and PWM, Power Supplies and Controls. Transmitters and Receivers.

5 Days (30 hours at CINEC )

Admission Requirements
Completion of an Advanced Diploma level Engineering Course or completion of Electronics I
